my first KISS build plan
psa 14.5" complete upper with moe handguards and magpul mbus( quick question is that flip-up or fixed?)
withe spikes standard lower with moe grip and ctr stock
but i have also been looking at just getting a complete spikes rifle and buying moe or putting rails or free floating rails
too many options im a self admitted newb and i may be over thinking this but as i look on here i get good ideas and look at options i never looked at before but i will not ignore advice i got before for those looking at this and sayin" i told that guy yesterday..."
thanks for the advice and please help with silly notions or tell me im stupid and just get the spikes middy and trick it out as i go

That upper will have a standard fixed front sight post, the MBUS is a flip up rear sight.

No need to get a spikes. Stay on the PSA site and get everything you need. Just put the lower on a separate order than the LPK to avoid the tax (shipping for the lower is free so you won't be out extra money). Not bashing spikes, because they sell good parts, but you might as well just get everything you need from one place. An LPK, lower, upper, and stock kit will cost you less than $600 from PSA, and all you have to do is assemble the lower.

Sounds like a solid first rifle. my only suggestion would be to order the PSA upper immediately. When they first came out with the carbine uppers, they sold out relatively fast. Same with their midlengths. See the pattern?

Mid-length is another "flavor of the day" and will be supplanted by another one sometime soon.  Carbine length has been around for a long time and will work for 99% of us without a problem.

This. Carbine or Middy either will serve you just fine. Just ask the military.... It will ultimately come down to user preference. I like the mid-lengh because of the added sight radius when using an FSB upper, and because i have long arms so it's easier for me to use a VFG on a non extended rail. Plus, i really dont need the M4 cuts on the barrel....

See, it's just preference. As far a sights, the MBUS will serve you fine, i really like their spring loaded action and they are light to boot.

Are u gonna run the MOE's or are you gonna Free Float that suckaa?

Best of luck!
