I was going to post this in the Builds forum but I figured here would be better. I have been looking into building my 1st AR. I have looked all over for a cheap stripped lower that has no markings on the left side for laser engraving. So far the cheapest on was:
LRB arms stripped lower from Rainer for $99. Is there any others you would recommend? Cheap is not the main factor ( but I don't want a $300 stripped lower) |

I've seen an LRB lower for like 70 but I don't remember where They are $56 (for 30, SLIGHT more for less) for dealers and $89 individual retail. I think they used to be cheaper direct, and dealer price was not exclusive (would not surprise me if they honoried it for anyone). Wideners has them for $69 each or $65 (10+) to public also. |

Don't go the LRB route. I bought one and I don't like the finish at all.
The two I bought for $75ea at a funshow had an excellent finish on them. Seemed to match my keyhole uppers also. I do hand select my parts. Never had a problem with a lower yet. The less coins the better. My CMMG probably had the worst finish unless it was a Superior but I sold that one a while back. As stated above you probably won't find a better quality lower than the NDS McKay A-2, pretty plain and they can easily be engraved to your liking.. |

Aero Precision are good and Surplus ammo has good lowers if you want something cheap. Don't go the LRB route. I bought one and I don't like the finish at all. I would pay the extra $10-15 and get something better. Unfortunately both have logos on the left side which he doesn't want. |

I'm assuming OP is mixed up b/c in his first post he does say that, but then says he can only find LRBs (which have traditional engraving there), maybe he means right side. |
