bought a bushmaster ar-10 carbine in .308..ordered a front quad rail by leapers UTG.I can not get it to install, it almost goes all the way on, but hangs up. I am gouging the aluminum inside the rail.instructions made it appear easy, but it won't line up with the slots...what' up ? thanx

Is it the two piece rail?  If so are you trying to change it by hand?  Get someone else to hold the delta ring assembly down for

you while you try.  A hand guard removal tool makes a world of difference.

take your time, but an extra pair of hands does help. i've installed a bunch of UTG and various rails and never had a problem. just put some UTG rifle length rails on a buddies anvil arms and they fit very tight and were marked made in usa....not bad for seventy bucks

I believe that both the barrel nut and rail heights are different.  I think there are some rails that will fit both the 15 and 10 but don't remember which ones.  UTG isn't considered the highest quality or tightest standards either so that also might be the issue.

thanx guys, I guess I better contact UTG and find out if this will even fit an ar-10, I assumed a 10 and a 15 were close enough in design, but, you know what ASSUME stands for !!

Send the UTG back and get a good handguard.
That's pretty much airsoft junk you have there.
