Like the topic says, I need something that'll pretty much hide the fireball.

Suggestions please

Budget?  Preferred style? caliber?  BArrel length?  Recoil reduction?  What do you have now?  You gotta narrow it down some because there is a shit ton of flash suppressors out there that will do the job.  SOme are better than otehrs, some make noise, some cost an extra $200...

Best bang for the buck are the YHM 5C1 and/or 5C2.  No pun intended.
For $30 they do a fine job of hiding the flash.  You can get a better FH but it will cost at least twice as much.

Yep the phantom is the best for the buck.

The Vortex can be had for under $50.

16''  5.56 1/7 twist budget around 100 bucks or less.
I have a standard A2, I need something to elminate the flash, noise isn't a problem.
Ignore my grammar skills, thanks!

The YHMs are awesom for the money! you can find them for $28 some places. I have one on a GG&G upper and one on a 20" upper that I just got finish with! I have heard the VLTOR was nice. I have one for my SBR but i havent gotten it all together to test it out.

Where in Texas are you?  I have a Phantom 5C2 that I am currently not using and you can try it out to see if you like it.  I'm in Austin.

YHM Phantom 100% the lightest & the cheapest

The Vortex is just a bit more price wise but does give you that much more performance

My 3 best FH's are Vortex, AAC Blackout, then the Phantoms.
The Phantoms are cheapest and work pretty well, but the Vortex and AAC work better for just a little more cost.
Any of those 3 will get the job done.

+1 on the Phantom 5C1, if you look around you can get them for $25 shipped. The next best (for cheap) is an A2 flashider. People don't think they are "cool" but they actually work very well....<><....:)

As others have said, the Smith Vortex and AAC Blackout are the kings of flash suppression.
ETA: The Blackout isn't represented here, but it's right up there with the Vortex. Perhaps even slightly more effective.

Take a look at this comparison video:

Test photos are honestly a better way to compare flash, than videos, or even seeing them in person (if properly done). Videos may miss the flash if the peak flash is not timed with the frame rate of the camera. And most video cameras don't allow you to control the aperture.

Here are two test photos, done by Robert Silvers the inventor of the Blackout (so he may have some bias) linked because of size.
A2 vs Blackout vs BE Meyers (Surefire uses this on some of their adapters)

Original M-16 vs A2 vs Unknown (not the Blackout) vs Vortex vs Two different versions of the Phantom

Personally my choice was dictated by my choice of suppressors. I run Blackouts.

Suppressor is the only thing that will all but eliminate it. If you cant/wont go that far the Vortex and Blackout are where its at. Also ammunition selections make a big difference in flash as well. High quality home defense stuff is a lot less of a firestarter than say cheap plinking ammo.
