I have 10 old 30 round Colt magazines that I recently refinished. They had the older black followers in them. I replaced the followers with the green Magpul versions. They are very nice I should add. Occasionally they won't hold the bolt open.
Do you guys think it is the springs? If so can you please suggest some affordable replacements? |

Were they locking the BCG back before you changed the followers? |

Don't really remember I never used em. The cheapest thing to do would be to go back to the old followers and see if they work properly. If that doesn't work, it's probably the springs. Also are you using them in a new rifle, specifically one that you just built? |

Will do. The receiver is s Spike's and is only 2 years old. Did you build the lower from scratch? Does the Bolt Catch move freely without the upper on it and the hammer back? If it doesn't I would investigate the spring and buffer for the bolt catch. I don't mean to be insulting, but you did install the CORRECT spring in the bolt catch, that is if you built the lower from scratch. IF you used the Disconnector Spring then it might be binding and causing the buffer for the bolt catch to malfunction. Good luck |
