| I very recently bought my first AR. Its an M&P 15. Ive only ran about 60 rounds through it and the other day I happened to notice a little play between the upper and lower receivers. It feels like its loose where the pins go through the upper and lower receivers. Is this normal? Its not alot of play but it is noticeable. Any advice would be awesome thanks in advance. |

if it functions consistently and shoots accurately, a little wobble is ok.
it would take a large gap to noticeably affect accuracy and function. if it really bothers you, they make a soft insert to dampen the movements and tighten the fit. edit: found the wedge here: Accu Wedge |
| I have an m&p15 upper and lower that do the same thing.... It doesn't affect accuracy at all and is pretty standard with most AR-15s. It is better that there is some play than to have the fit be way too tight, because then it'd be near impossible to break it down with just your hands. |
