I have a stripped Spikes lower on the way along with the PSA group buy lower build kit. I have been doing mainly all my research on a complete Spikes middy upper but just looked at BCM's site and see that i can get A BCM Standard upper for $399. Currently out of stock though. I just assumed they would be at least the same price as Spikes if not a tad more. BFH versions are more.  Any real reason why the standards are only $400? anything i should be aware of?   Thanks for your input.

The BCM is less BCG and charging handle.  Figure closer to $600 when all said and done.  Still good stuff,  not the cheapest but good quality.  Spikes seems a decent deal for $500 also.  Spikes is the new guy on the block so they have to be a little cheaper.   Especially with the economy in the crapper.  Lots of deals on guns out there right now.  Can't lose either way.  Your call!

Exactly the reply i needed. I assumed this was the case but i never seen it clearly state that on the product description but i noticed it didnt give details on bcg. Thanks. Anybody hear any word on when AIM will get spikes uppers in stock. Also if i plan to add a rail of some sort later what size would i need if i get the 16" middy?

Yeah, BCM's bcg a seperate/ extra. That price is literally for the upper alone. The last time that they had their uppers in stock (14.5" middy) the were "out of stock" on the bcgs. The bcg, handgaurd, ST-T2 buffer and free shipping are included with the AIMs/ Spikes deal. It's hard to beat.

As far as AIM's stock updates, check out their section in the "Industry" forum.

9" rails are standard for a midlength upper.
