So... On my newest build I went with 16" a mid length upper.  I already had an H2 buffer for a 14.5" carbine I had previously.  My question is; Will the H2 work well with the midlength or no?

probably, if you stick to hotter ammo. Odds are with stuff like Wolf, PMC's normal stuff, or other lighter loads you'll have issues. If you do, try an H or standard buffer if you need to shoot the light stuff. Buffer's are one of the few things we can change in the gas system to match up with the ammo you shoot. You either shoot hotter ammo or use a lighter buffer.

It will probably work just fine. Test it out and see how it runs.
