[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chopping FSB question

I'm thinking about chopping a standard FSB down so I can install a longer FF rail on. This might be a dumb question, but do I need to remove the FSB from the barrel first and then re-install, or is it ok to just Dremel it off while still mounted?

i dont think you'd have a problem doing it while on the barrel. However, youre probably gonna have to take it off anyways when you install the rail.

I shaved my fsb while it was still attached. Just go slow, it's not too hard
