Started last November on just one. As I learned more about AR's I kept changing things until now it won't be till spring when I get all the parts together.
So Put this second one, a carbine together from more avalable parts:

Specs:
Lower: Spike's Tactical stripped lower, OD green colorized roll mark, laser etch.
LPK: Spike's enhanced parts kit with NiB battle trigger, billet trigger guard, ambi-safety lever, KNS Gen 2 anti-rotation pins.
Grip: Magpul MOE OD green with battery storage insert.
Stock: Magpul CTR, OD green, pinned and epoxied for fixed per AWB.
Receiver extension, (mil-spec,) buffer spring, receiver plate w/ sling mount: Daniels Defense,
Buffer: Spike's ST-T2

Upper: Stag Arms model 0H, 16" carbine. 1:9 twist. Shaved bayonet mount and permanently pinned muzzle brake for AWB compliance.
Hand guard: Magpul OD green MOE.
Forward grip: Magpul OD green MVG.
BUIS: MI OD green.
Sling: Vickers, camo green.
Weapons light: Primary Arms UWL with pressure switch. Note the custom grip strap I made today from a Magpul rubber magazine assist.
Optic: Primary Arms M4 red dot.
Got 500 rds of Federal 55 gr fmj from Palmetto

Waiting on an ordered BAD lever and a just ordered a Nikon 1-4 x20 scope with a Burris P.E.P.R. QD mount to try instead of the RD. Also ordered a cheek riser to use on the stock with the scope.

Here's the pics:

My ongoing second build is an 18" SPR type. Just boxes of parts at this point.

nice. you'll like the the brake and ST-2 buffer. I have an18" rifle with a Miculek brake & ST-2 buffer. Lightest recoil AR i've shot.

How hard do you have to push to collapse your stock?

Just asking because I've never seen the para cord around the buffer tube before.  I don't want to sound dense, but what's it for?

I think NY has to have a fixed stock and its not functional

Nice...very nice I love those brakes! Nice touch with the para cord also, really adds to a pinned stock. Gives it that extra personal look

Yes, New York still has the old post ban laws that ran out elsewhere.Stock was pinned so that it was fixed. Had that cold tube there so I tried out a knife wrap technique on it. Mostly i did it while bored on a Wednesday night. Does make it more comfy.....

Good looking rifle.  Nice build.  That OD colorized roll mark looks way cool.

Sucks you have to go through all that stupid NY crap though.

Pinning the stock and cutting the bayonet lug off.  Think of how many crimes would have

been prevented if criminals didn't have bayonets.

I should mention that the magazine shown is a 10/30 PMAG, permanently blocked to hold just ten rounds. Max. rounds allowed here. Sent to California for it. Wanted a PMAG for the OD green theme I was doing.
Pre-ban (pre Sept. '94) 20 and 30 rd magazines are legal here.
