Everyone talks about how the mid length gas with 16inch works better than the carbine gas with 16inch. That is smoother recoil and less wear on parts.

My question is how does the mid length 16 inch compare to the 14.5 carbine WITH the permately attached YHM to make it legal?

I should also add what would the difference be with a carbine 16inch and a 14.5 carbine with a permenate attached YHM to make it legal?

My preference is for mid 14.5 or intermediate 16, which is even longer.

I guess what i'm really asking is I am looking at two kit choices.

Stag 14.5 carbine with permantely attached YHM flash to make it legal at 16 inches
OR
Stag 16 carbine

did not knot if the "shorter" barrel helped with recoil and parts wear since its a carbine gas OR it was no difference.

Mid will be smoother. But longer. I no longer see any reason to willingly use a 14.5 carbine.
