The KAC website is a good place.  Gear Sector makes another very good one.

I am sure they are there but I did not see them for sale on Knights Armament website, I must be blind. Superior Defense, also a industry partner has them.I agree that Gear Sector's stop is very nice and would be my choice if a QD point is not needed.

here is a little known place, AMS machine makes one. They make some of the best doctor optics mounts.  AMSmachine.net

I guess this place is selling their products (I have never delt with them only AMS machine directly)

If i could also add, Stickman has taken a Magpul RVG and cut it down to handstop length. Perhaps you might be interested in that method?

Thx for the input guys!  Out of curiosity Stickman why do you use different mounts from your training to your duty?  Do you like or feel one is better or more rigid...for instance the Gear Sector is on the duty rifle so there fore I would think you feel more confident with it or was it just to change things up a little because they are all equal?  Just curious so I can make the best decision and you seem to have a lot of time on the AR.

Please excuse my ignorance. But what are index clips as listed on their website? Where do you get them?

Index clips are larues low Profile rail covers. Larue also makes a polymer handstop that color matches there index clips. Index clips also allow you to reroute your tape switch in a less messy format as it has slots to do so.

For the way that I shoot, the KAC and Gear sector are interchangeable.  While most people use the handstop to push or pull against, I do it different.  In my case, my thumb is pointing forward along the rail and the handstop is between my fingers so pushing or pulling works equally well.  It acts as an index point.  I'll try to shoot a picture to show what I mean.

True enough, I have chopped a MVG and RVG to play around with.  Shown below are the cut down MVG angled in both directions.
