[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Magazines?

I'm sorry to ask a noob question, but i have a question.. im thinking about Getting a Spikes Tactical rifle and it says it comes with a Magpul magazine. but i dont want just one, can i put diffrent brands of magazines into my rifle???

Absolutely I use GI aluminum,brit and singapore steel GI clones both with magpul followers,Lancer L5s those are my favorite.Spikes is good stuff im sure you wont have a problem with any good GI spec mag.

Many AR-15 owners I know personally use the Magpul Pmags, USGI aluminum magazines, or the USGI aluminum magazines with the Magpul anti-tilt followers installed to replace the factory followers, or some combination of these three options. If you can afford it, it feels very satisfying to have a huge stockpile of those evil "high capacity" magazines that the anti-gun folks hate so much.

From what i have been reading 30 round magazine capacity will do the trick 40 round makes it difficult to go prone and shoot......
