| Im in need of some answers to a few questions about monolithic uppers. First what are the advantages if any to having one, and two what does it mean to "bridge an optic", and why do you need a mono upper to do so. Any help is appreciated im still learning. Thanks |

A monolithic upper allows for one solid optics mounting surface. Bridging the gap is known as when you have a regular upper and railed forend and you have one scope mount on the upper, and one on the railed forend. Accuracy can suffer from doing so. A monolithic upper allows for this to not happen. |
