i am looking to upgrade my Charging Handle  with a bmc gunfighter because i broke the stock unit

i see on brovo company's web page that they sell a large-mod 3 medium-mod 4 and small mod 5

it will be going on a  M4gery carbine in 5.56mm are they a matter of Personal Preference  or do they each  serve a separate purpose

thanks guys

just did some looking on the net and now am under the impresion that small medium and large  refers to how far out the latch sticks out and not the length of the charging handle itself is that right??

Personal preference. Most use the mod 4 with red dots and the mod 3 for scoped weapons.

Agreed, but many complain about the large latch poking them or hanging up on gear.

I use the Mod 3. I'm a lefty so it doesn't matter if it hangs up on gear, but I still prefer not to have an excessively large latch.

I have both the Mod 3 and Mod 4.  The Mod 3 is the tits when actually running the gun.  But it gets caught up in my gear unless I rotate the gun so it's away from me, whereas the Mod 4 doesn't.   I fnd rotating the gun to be natural and easy, using a full-sized VFG, but if you don't, the Mod 4 would be a better choice.

I have a Badger on mine, and really like it. But then I'm a lefty, so I don't know how well it works for righties. Mike

It's the latch size, and I find the medium size to be just right.  I am considering putting the large on my SPRish hoping to make it easier to charge the weapon with the latch under the scope.

I have a mod 3 large latch, on my Colt with ACOG, it does however snag gear from time to time. I have a mod 4 medium on to other weapons, and I think they are just right..
