I've seen lots of pics of AR's with desert tan furniture/accessories on a standard black upper/lower receiver. Was curious how a rifle built with  desert tan receivers and black furniture/accessories would look. Even a two-tone look with black upper receiver and desert tan lower receiver(or vice versa) would be interesting. I have an extra lower at the moment and trying to come up with how I want to build it up.

I haven't seen many pics with black furniture on FDE receivers.

Here are a few I've shot.  The first may be close what you were looking for.

The  second gun from the left in your top pic is what I was looking for. The two-tone pics that have been posted are pretty cool too. Ordered my alumahyde II in desert tan and I'll start by doing an extra lower receiver I have. When done, I will put my regular black M4 style upper on it and see how it looks as two tone. Plan will be to get another upper and do the upper receiver in desert tan and leave the barrel, forearm, etc... black to put on the desert tan lower.

Not a rifle, just my Saiga 12. Duracoat Blackhawk Coyote Tan with black here and there.

good luck with the painting. if you follow the directions on the brownells' website, you'll be really happy with the results.
