I have an LMT and yesterday I was shooting at the range, when the range officer called for a cease fire.

So my clip was still 3/4 full, I remove the clip, rack the bolt backward , the round eject, but the bolt close back , lucky I had an empty clip , put that one IN , bolt lock back remove the clip.

Here my stupid question.

Any way to leave that bolt open, without an emplty clip.

Thanks

1) Pull the charging handle all the way back

2) Push in bottom portion of bolt release/bolt catch

3) Push charging handle forward to lock into place

Its a magazine... Not a clip.

And you can use the bolt catch to hold the bolt open...

You know, that ping pong paddle looking thing on the left side of the weapon?
Pull the charging handle back while pushing the small bottom end of it, Bingo
