I've got a question about shooting 5.56 in a 223 or visa versa.  I tried to look it up in the search engine and that thing really looks limited.  I did searched 5 or 6 different ways with no success (shooting 5.56 in a 223), (5.56 in a 223), (223 in a 5.56), (shooting 223 in a 5.56), etc..

I'd like some help here on this topic and the w/the search engine on this topic!

The 5.56 is a MUCH hotter round than the .223. If your gun is marked on the barrel "5.56," you are GTG for both rounds. But if it is marked ".223," do NOT shoot 5.56 ammo in it.
