ok thank you for the quick response i was shocked when the ups guy said i could get in trouble with the govt for shipping a rail system bullshit. tell him to ship it and shut up. ETA... Probably either anti-gun or doesnt know his own job and the rules. You can ship EVERYTHING except lower recievers. Even then you can ship those throuhg certain carriers under certain conditions as long as it goes to an FFL. |

Quoted: well i went to a privately owned ups store, and he said he couldnt so he called the ups hub which is a franchise and they said they couldnt either An actual UPS hub would know the rules. There have been lots and lots of bad experience post about UPS Store experiences on this site over the years. Me being one of them. I now say fuck them and use USPS. You have to really suck as a business if I choose the .gov over you. |
| I would just place the thing in a brown cardboard box tape it up and go to the UPS store and ship it. I've only been told once that I needed to ship something through an FFL and that was at a private small business shipping place, it was only a airsoft pistol with its orange tip. |
| Dude, come on. I think you are totally wasting your time. Fuck ups. You are wanting to go up there and argue to have your shit shipped extremely slowly. Go to the post office and they will get it there much much faster. I do a lot of ebay selling and I can tell you that ups takes an average of 4 extra days to get the product to its destination. I can ship from washington and have it in florida in three days for cheaper than ups. |
