ordering a BC tomorrow, just wondering if anyone had a pic of the stainless battlecomp on an all black AR.

i know it's lame as hell but i always thought the silver KAC TT looked awesome on a black AR once it was all dirty and had carbon on it so i was wondering if anyone had pics of the battlecomp in a similar situation, or new, whatever.

Not all black nor matte stainless, but I hope it gives you a general idea.

I would like detail installation instructions LOL.  How to index, What foot pound of torque, Loctite - yes or no, What should the crusher washer look like on proper installation.

Yes, I can turn a wrench but I don't want to screw up a Noveske barrel or a comp that is $150.  At least its not iconnel (The last statement was not a swipe at Knight's - honest)

Maybe just give to a good gunsmith to do it?

My guy installed mine for free.

This. I still haven't made it out to the range to see if I like it vs. my PWS556.

I was sold when I tried a friend's 16" middy with one.  The lack of muzzle rise through his shot dot was so stable I could see holes popping into the target.

Rainier Arms does not list it on their site, you need to call them and ask for it. The "blem" is a poor anodizing job. Mine really doesn't look all that bad, but you can tell. After a few hundred rounds, I really don't think you'll be able to see any difference. The blem version is $109.

I highly recommend the Blem version - since after firing them abusively (what the BC will make you want to do with your rifle) it'll end up looking like a blemished one anyway.

I am really interested in getting away from a flashhider and getting a comp of some sort. These seem like the latest thing to use. Is there anybody that can honestly say they noticed a difference when installing one on a rifle they have shot alot and actually noticed a difference? Also do they provide any flash hiding? I have a Vortex Im considereing getting rid of for one of these...

You may to make sure the blem version or the vendor you are buying from (if you have not used one before) qualifies for a the money back thing.  I bought one from someone that only used it once, it was perfect and while only a few dollars cheaper I wish I would have paid another $15 to buy one full retail so I could have returned it (the stainless ones were out of stock at the time, or I would have done that).  Its quiter than some other brakes, but recoil, ablity to stay on target is no where close to as good as I imagined listening to others talk about it.

The BC in my opinion is a nice setup that does a good job at being a brake, without being too loud and flash suppresses about as well as an A2. Not the best at either, but pretty damn good none the less, I have yet to try a Brake-out though, which I hear is the Shit.

I'm not sure how you would not notice a difference if its a weapon you shoot on a regular basis.

You've got to remember that you are going to give up flash suppression by going to any comp, but the newer hybrid comps are much better than dedicated comps.  The hybrids tame the flash, and are usually about as good as an A2 muzzle device.  There is no question you will see more flash than your Vortex, but you will also see a difference in muzzle climb and felt recoil.

Thats what Im wondering, Thanks! I ahve only 1 AR15 and have had it and shot it for the past 5 years....while i like the Vortex, Im thinking about switching to something that I might benifit from more than a flash hider. Seems like a lot of people are using Comps more these days. I just wanted to make sure that if I were to buy a BC it would be worth it and I would actually notice a dif.

Live in CT. Flash hiders are not allowed. Does the BattleComp qualify as a flash hider?

I want to get 16" MId-length Daniel Defense Upper with BC 1.0 pinned on Smartgunner website.
