You can only take one,would it be a Spikes Tactical 16" mid-lengh or a Daniel Defense 16" mid-lengh. No BCM.

| Eh, I'd go with either. I mean, I've gotten good stuff with spikes, but I've also used a couple of DD's uppers. Both have shot fine for me. So which ever I could get cheaper, so I could buy more ammo. Of course if we are talking S already HTF, I'd take whatever I could get my hands on. |

Since other's have said BCM, I'll say AK.
Yeah, go ahead and flame me....this is an AR forum......and the OP didn't ask for it. If I have to "run off into the woods" with a rifle maybe never to return, it will be one of my AK's.....and I have A LOT more dollars tied up in AR's than AK's....but an AK can take the neglect that a SHTF situation may provide. Between the two the OP listed, I don't think it matters at all. They're both quality. |
| If the brown stuff ever hits the fan and there's a total breakdown of law and order to the point that I need to pick up a rifle start taking aim, I'm sure there will plenty enough rifles laying around for me to pick one up. I hope so, because I don't have a Daniels or a Spikes and doubt I'll find many of either brand mid-lengths laying in the streets in the hands of the dead and dying, or filling the shelves at Walmart, awaiting the psot-apocalypsic world. Seriously, what kind of question is this, other than a "who's mid-length gun do you like better?" Why complicate thigng like a twelve year-old? |
I dunno, I think I need to see 90 pages of metalurgy and destructive testing paperwork that I am not qualified to interpret before I say DD is ok. See what I did there? I'd probably grab whatever one was closest. Both are excellent. DD if I gave myself more than a 1/4 second to think about it. And I'm a big Spike's fan. To me, DD is arguably closer to whatever Tier one nirvarna you seek than even BCM. I do fully expect some of the resident ar15 brandwhores to suffer a serious mental breakdown when they pee their panties trying to decide what gun wont get them made fun of by their fellow zombie hunters during the zombie apocolypse and they cannot consult arfcom or m4c.
