| I have been working on my lower and just got it together the other day. Its a Stag lower with Spikes enhanced lpk and a BMC buffer tube kit with Vltor Modstock. I got the Sprinco ar spring kit with buffer spring and bcg extractor spring. Someone said its a good idea? Also got the pre production BCM gunfighter charge handle. It looks sweet! A Spikes nickel boron bcg is on the way also. And for the top I decided on the BCM 16" Hammer forged mid length while on sale and a Troy triangle flipup rear sight. And finally the magpul moe handguards which may or may not stay on long. Am I missing anything besides and nice optic? Mags are on the way and I know I need ammo and practice. |

The flash hider I think its just a standard BCM A2. If they put the fancy extended one on that would be cool but I doubt it.
And as for ditching the enhanced lpk, fancy bcg, and Sprinco stuff of course I could have done that and saved a couple hundred but I kinda wanted that stuff. I know its not needed to have a fine functioning rifle of course. I will still put an Eotech or Aimpoint on in the near future but I will probably learn to shoot it without the fancy optics for a bit first. As for the hand guards I have been looking at the Troy MRF drop in battle rail. They look nice but I might play with the Magpul for a bit first also. The rifle will probably be somewhat of a work in progress for some time to come. |

Ordered a BCM middy at 3 am this morning. Got an email right before 10 am with a tracking number! This is going to go on a California featureless rifle. California featureless rifle = my way of sticking it to the man! Spikes lower, Bushmaster LPK, A1 stock, and the dreaded Monster Man grip. Upper ordered is a 14.5 middy with PSW comp and BCM bolt carrier group. Going to run a MOE mid length as the handguard. I plan to try a LaRue BUIS rear sight, LaRue EOTech mount, and EOTech. I'm worried this may make the weapon to top heavy, so may just run a carry handle instead. |

i would have axed the MOE HGs, sprinco spring, spikes enhanced lpk and nickel boron bcg and instead put the money towards an optic or a railed HG... So, spend the money on lesser components instead? It's not like the quality of the LPK is important or anything...

That sounds like an awesome build. Congrats on the purchase. I love my BCM bfh 16" middy. And so does everyone else that has one. Yeah thanks. That is very good to hear. I am really looking forward to taking it out and sighting it in to see what it can do. Having just a built lower sitting there is just torture. It is only for a few days but still. As someone stated before about a free float setup and ditching the moe handguards I am already thinking about it. Anyone know of a nice ff setup they think works well with the BCM mid. I would need a handguard, gas block, and front sight right? |
