| what company do you think makes the highest quality mid length ar15 |

BCM, Sabre, Noveske, Spikes, are all top tier and offer midlength gas systems.
Spikes is the best price, BCM has more diverse offerings (i hear spikes will do custom builds for you but havnt tried myself). BCM also has a lot more experience(IIRC) building stuff. Spikes is still kinda new, but they do make very nice shit. |

There is no such thing as "BEST" What I think is 'BEST" to you may be a piece of crap. I always just laught when I see these threads " What is the best AR" " What is the BEST sling" " What is the BEST optic"
C'mon somebody use your head and do your own research and decide for yourself what is " BEST ' for you and your needs. Rant over!!! |
| Agreed. A search on this site will show the differing opinions of the different manufacturers. I have not had an issue with my CMMG. It has run 100% for me, even with the .22 adapter. Upgraded with a Colt bolt that I had as a spare. Have read wonderful things about the BCM stuff. |

My spikes middy is an amazing piece of firearm.....sold my BCM to get it and couldn't be happier. BCM was great but I wanted a Spikes upper to match my Spikes lower.
Why the rolling eyes? lol I wanted a Spikes upper to go with my Spikes lower and don't regret it for a second, the BCM was great as is the Spikes - both are equal in quality and finish. I didn't lose out on a thing. |

Apples to apples, Spikes is every bit as good as BCM and at a better price point. |

Back before BCM and Spikes were flavor of the day I put a Rock River Arms mid length upper on my Bushy lower, and it's a frigging SWEET setup. I'd pit it against whatever is out there out there and it shoots like a dream.
That being said, I do also own a Spikes M4LE with an A1 buttstock that I'm pretty fond of... |

Anything specific that makes a BCM better than a Noveske? Price isn't one of them because if you outfit a BCM with BFH barrel, MUR etc they're the same price. noveskes barrels are made from m249 blanks. cold hammer forged and double chrome lined. not the same thing |
