it doesn't have the wings that block the left and right sides of some rails, like i said, i filed mine down because i couldn't fit xtm rail panels on my DD omega 9 or a DD offset light mount
also it's shorter/slimmer it doesn't look too bad filed down. i won't be buying a new one unless someone buys mine, which i doubt. |

This was one of a few complaints I had the version 1. The thing was just HUGE. With a tallish rail like the DD Lites that I use, it was like holding onto a damn football at the end of my rifle, and I have decent sized mits.
Hopefully this'll slim things up a bit. I'm sure it also shed an ounce too. |
| Yeah it basically looks the same without the "wings" at the front portion. Being that I use mine with a MOE handguard I think I would actually prefer the gen 1 as it fits the shape of the MOE handguard better, but for guys using a rail handguard the new version would probably work better. It also looks a bit like the reap art is actually a bit more vertical and less angled. |
