I am currently looking to get myself a new BCG.  Initially I wanted the BCM m16 BCG (Ion Bonded) but they are sold out and who knows when they will be back in stock.  I've been looking and looking and I wanted to get opinions on the Spike's Tactical Nickel Boron M16 BCG.  I can't find very many reviews so I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience/knowledge.  What do you all think?  Be impatient and get the Spike's (if it's even a good BCG) or do I wait for the BCM to become available again?  Thanks in advance for your input.

either one will serve you well, but why not just get a regular bcm bcg? i just don't get into all the special coatings.

I agree.  I haven't played much with any of the coatings but I heard the BCM Ion Bonded was worth the extra $50 or whatever it is.  I just want a quality m16 BCG to add a little extra weight and wanted to recieve some input.

There are several very good M16 BCGs out there right now that aren't coated in anything.  I have Spike's NiB in both my current carbines, I had BCM BCGs in previous uppers and other than the ease of cleaning, I don't notice a difference.

So you do like the Spike's, though?  My confidence in them are that FailZero is the one doing the coating.

I like my spikes with the Fail Zero coating, i lube it a little with  TW25B, its slick and cleans easy

(2) Spikes F/A BCGs in my carbines , I love them  and (1) BCM F/A BCG  I really cannot tell the difference, except for the Logos.

I got a Fail Zero for my SBR this week!!!  It's sweet.  That thing is so smooth it feels like it has lube on it!

Grease bad guys, not guns.
Battle on!
