I am trying to decide between a daniel defense m4v3 or getting a spikes with upgraded rail. I have found the dd for 1295.00, and I think the spikes with rail is going to be about the same price. also with the spikes what is the difference between the le carbine and the m4 carbine. any suggestions would help. thanks

They would be very similar to the same gun, considering Spike's Tactical CHF M4 uses a Daniel Defense CHF barrel. I think you should go with whichever roll mark you like best, honestly. Both have excellent customer service and they should be made to the same specs. That or whichever is slightly cheaper. I like to support the little guy so I'd buy from Spike's.

As far as the differences... LE uses a standard Chrome-Lined barrel. The CHF M4 uses a cold hammer forged barrel which provides extra strength and longevity. Some would say it is more accurate as well.

You can't really go wrong with either, but I do like spikes new rail. I'd like to get myself one at some point. My buddy has one, and

Both are GREAT rifles.  I'd go with whichever one is cheaper.  I have a Spikes and will be ordering from them again in the near future.

On second thought, go with the DD.  Law of supply and demand, you know.  The lower the demand for Spikes, the lower their prices will be when I order from them next time.  Just kidding.

I just ordered a Spikes Middy last week if that tells you anything. I also think I am going to call them tomorrow and have them add a 9" BAR to the rifle.
