I am looking to get an AR15 in 223 –– my dealer carries the following - I am not interested in a gas piston gun I just want to get a basic model... the question is how would you rate these brands?

Check out the Spikes M4 LE and see if he will handle the transfer for you. You may also want to look at BCM.
If he will not do tranfers, go elsewhere. If that is the only shop around, go with the Armalite or Stag. |

If you are limited to buying only from these brands, of those I like Stag the best. Its the retail brand of CMT who produces parts for many manufacturers.
Armalite and Bushy will serve you well also. Im not a fan of Oly or DPMS. However I would do some research on here and you can most likely save some money and find some deals buying online. YMMV |

AIM Surplus has free shipping (and spikes uppers for less than the spikes website), and most FFL xfers can be done for $25 around here. |
