Guys...I have an LMT SOPMOD lower with 2 stage trigger and am about to pull the trigger on a BCM 20" Upper.

Do I need a new buffer, or will the existing lower work?

Thanks,
Hax

A carbine stock takes a carbine (short) buffer and carbine buffer spring (10 1/4 to 11 1/4). A rifle stock takes a rifle (long) buffer and a rifle buffer spring (11 3/4 to 13 1/2).

The upper is irrelevant.  Use the correct buffer and spring for the lower receiver extension, which in your case is a carbine.

it should work just fine

assuming the BCM gas port is the same as the Colt (which it most likely will be), i would use an H2 buffer, that's what the Diemaco/Colt Canada is running in the C7's
