So, I agree that the Mk 12 mod 0/1s look cool... but they aren't the optimal right?

I see a lot of variations and without asking people the details, it seems like the variations range by 1) preference/taste, 2) by cost tradeoffs.

Is the Mk 12 mod 0/1 a top tier SPR, or have the variations within the same price range or less surpassed it? (scopes aside)

Well when you talk of Mark 12 Mod 1 SPRs, I think you're talking about a specific clone of the military version. In my mind that's what an SPR is, but I'm a bit biased
I believe the military is still using them so I think they are top tier.

I'd say personal preferences just depending on what the end user likes, for the most part anyways.  Mine isn't as tradtitional:

I believe its a personal taste thing....however the mod 0s and mod 1s are excellent guns if that is the route someone decides to go

My idea of an SPR is a rifle set up for the "special purpose" you are designing and building it for.

Some good looking rigs in here.  I would like to build a 0/1 at some point in the future.
