Does anyone know if a genuine Colt replacement firing pin comes with a dull finish on it?

The one that is currently in my 6920 has a shiny, machined surface on it. All the Colt pins I saw in the military were like this.

I got a replacement/spare pin that I was told was from Colt but the finish on it is a dull gray so I am worried that the pin is not a Colt part.

Normally I wouldn't care, but I have read about some small parts kits having issues that others do not so I bought a Colt kit so I wouldn't have problems. This kit was more money than the generic kit so I to make sure that I got what I paid for and that I do not have any quality issues.

Thanks.

I just replaced the pin in my ArmaLite with a BCM and it was very dull as well which caught me off guard. After some shooting (~300rds) it is starting to look a little shinny.
My guess is that mine have always been dull when new and I just never payed any attention.

I have been kind of wondering about that.
