Hey everyone, I'm planning on building a new AR for college so I need some input.

So far I have chosen to do a black/ FDE combo and heres what I got:

Spikes Tactical Lower with:
geissele 2 stage trigger
FDE ACS stock
Magpul MOE grip

Then the upper:
BCM 14.5 inch
Link
FSC556 compensator
Larue FUG

Now heres what I'm curious on: Should i go for the A2X flash hider or the FSC 556? Second, BCM or Spikes BCG? I hear they are pretty much both G2G so hmm. As for the optic I'm saving up for something pricey ;)

Any sling suggestions?
And, rear site?

Also, any torch suggestions are welcome. I'm running a G2 on the other setup

AR for college? Please explain. I don't understand what college and an AR have to do with each other. Every campus I know of prohibits guns. Are you living off campus?

As for the build....
FSC556 or A2X, it's just preference. I have an LMT 14.5+FSC556 and love it, although those shooting nearby may not haha. I only used it in case I had to go back to NJ for some stupid reason or ever wanted to shoot there..
I'd go with a BCM BCG because 1)it's arguably the best, 2)keep it all BCM, and 3)you get it at a discount w/ the upper.
I'm not a fan of the ACS and would likely use a Modstock(only $50 at Bravo!) or SOPMOD. Modstock on my 14.5".
Why not go with the new MOE vfg rather than adding a rail, having the FUG stick out, and it'll save you $80+.
If you think you'll add an optic, I'd go with a BCM/Troy folding rear. Otherwise a DD 1.5 fixed rear is a good choice.

I get college credits for taking rifle and pistol courses. I'd be storing it off campus of course. Yeah I run an ACS on the family colt, I like it since its pretty close to the current sopmod I used to run. I'm leaning towards the FSC 556.

This is my BCM 14.5" sounds close to what you are building, may give you some ideas
BCM lower with Geissele SSA trigger, LMT SOPMOD stock, Magpul MOE grip
BCM 14.5" upper with permanent Sabre Defense extended A2 FH
BCM BCG and BCM Gunfighter charging handle
BCM marked Troy BUIS
KAC M4 RAS rails and VFG
Aimpoint Comp M3 in Larue mount
Surefire M951
Vickers sling
This is definitely one of my favorites
