Does somebody know what BCM uses to cote up their uppers before shipping? I may have to store one of mine and im worried about rust over a couple of months (especially in my area). Someone suggested WD40 but im not so sure about it. Any other good product suggested a will give a look too!!

thanks

Breakfree LP and synthetic motor oil is what I use. Not sure what BCM uses.
An AR would probably be fine dry if its just a couple months.

I assume you're referring to the steel parts (barrel, FSB, FH, etc.). I'd just wipe it down with a good gun oil, or a fairly new silicone cloth.

Do not use WD40. A light coat of CLP is great for storage. That is what we always did before we turned our rifles in to the armory.
