Getting close...finally have the search down to four:  Comments Welcome, and thanks for you continued help.
Again will be using for Target/HD. Budget $1500 for rifle/rail, etc, I'm left handed. In addition I am planning on going with and Eotech Red Dot (not factored into the $1500)
Ill try and give the most acurate model numbers/price for ease of reference.
Here's the short list..

All are middy, Armalite, and RRA are 1/9.  Colt, and Spikes are 1/7

Aramlite 15A4CBA2RS (About $1041)

Colt 6720 ($1199)

Spikes ST-15 Mid Length LE (About $809, but would have to add, rear site, and rail to mount optics- bring cost to around..$1000)

RRA Elite Car A4 (About $1000 which includes rail, and rear site)

Other option I would add would be ambi saftey, and maybe ambi charging handle.

Let me know what you guys think?!  Thanks for setting me straight.

Get a 6940.... They can be had for about $1350 now and there is no need to buy a rail.... maybe swap out the rear sight and it will be GTG. I love my 6940, but I am not sure about the rear sight yet. I still don't know if Iike the rear sight or not, but I shoot well with it.

Why do you need a rail to mount optics?

Mount your optics on the receiver.

The 6720 is a midlength?

Pretty sure the 6720 is a carbine, that takes that one out of the running
I vote spikes. No need for a rail

Thanks I plan on calling Garret back tomorrow and get a firm price.  Anything else to add other than the ambi saftey? Thoughts on Charging Handle?

Are you left handed?  You should use the $50 off to pay for the Spikes tactical case.  It's a really nice case and you'll need one.  If it's your first AR, spend any extra money on mags and ammo.

Get this.......Spike's Lower $279

and this.......Spike's Upper $660

then this......Troy Rear $105

That leaves you about $450 for your optic......if you want EOTech, you are on your own.....I don't believe in that stuff.

Out of the list, probably Spikes. But then I would get a BCM before anu of those.

I would go with Spikes. I currently only own 2 lowers. One with a Noveske N4 upper and Colt BCG and another with a Double Star upper and Colt BCG. I also own a complete Colt SP1 and the fit and finish of Spikes lowers are better than Colt. Note my SP1 was bought new back in 1988 so hopefully Colt has improved their quality

I bought the RRA elite operator back in Feb ...course the deal was $1060, 2 mags, the EOTech dominator mount and high rise scope mount...I sold the dominator and scope mount, bought the ARMS 40 low profile rear flip sight and am really satisfied with my purchase thus far...at 8lbs its heavy but very comfortable to shoot...smoother than my brothers STag 2T.
I am in the final decision stages of a scope, this will be my long range target plinker.
Now it sells for $1200, 1 mag, and no rear sight option.

The Elite CAR A4 will serve you well, the RRA is a tack driver...the other RRA option worth considering would be the LAR-15 Elite Comp...with both flip sights...but it retails at $1450, some will say thats way too much for an RRA...but it comes with lots of good options.

1. question you should ask...how long will it take RRA to produce said rifle? If its not in stock somewhere...you may be waiting till fall...or longer, they have been backed up on their DEA an FBI contracts.

AS to your 2nd question...and if you weren't going to wait on an RRA, my next build will be Spikes complete lower, Spikes upper, with BCM full BCG, and a 10.5' barrell (undecided on manufacturer...perhaps RRA), and Vortex Strikefire......this will be my CQ rifle...

if you want a lefty model...There is nothing wrong with the STAG 2TL, my brother has the same affliction. It also will group even Wolf ammo inside an inch at 100 yrds. We just did  it this last week end. No malfunctions and it has the rear flip sight, full front rails for toys and can be had for less than $1100.

This would be my choice and have them switch out the charging handle with a BCM gunfighter mod 4. Spikes is easily the best deal out of your options.
