Most 69 grain will shoot fine.  The 75gn Hornady BTHP MIGHT work fine.  The only way to know for sure is to get a small quantity of the ammo in question and shoot it.  Each barrel a little different in what it will shoot.  In the case of the 69gn SMK or Nosler Match bullets, the lenght of the bullet is such that velocity matters a lot.  The difference of a few FPS will have it on the ragged edge of stability or unstable.

This fellow's point of "test it yourself" is the best answer, beyond a doubt.  However, Black Hills does (or did when I bought it) print on their box that 75 or 77 gr. (Can't recall which I bought, think it was 75) is their limit for 1:9 twist.  My 700PSS confirmed this to me personally.  You may or may not get the results you need.

so basically i should just get small amounts of various ammo up to 75 grain and see how the rifle preforms.

That's the best course of action.

Not most 1:9s will shoot 75 & 77gr with no issues.  All four of my 1:9 barrels shoot them w/o issue.

Suggestion #1: Post thread titles that are more descriptive.

Suggestion #2: Read the FAQ, which contains a link to the Ammo FAQ, which has the answer you're looking for.
