I've got a question and pic request, I'd like to know about the difference in accuracy if a ACOG was mounted on a flat top AR or on a A2? My A2 carbine is by far my favorite rifle. I am thinking about selling on of my A4's and fund a ACOG and a can for my A2.

I'd like to know what models of ACOG work best on the carry handle, pros and cons. And I'd like to see some A2's with ACOGs.

It's very uncomfortable to shoot with the optic that high. It also presents difficulties for zeroing at a wide variety of ranges.

Here's a TA-11D on a carry handle:

TA-44:

TA-50:

And a TA-11 mounted on a flattop:

I agree with 87GN that mounting on the handle is less than ideal. At least with the integrated mount in an ACOG it isn't as bad as a conventional optic, but it still isn't ideal. Here's an example-look at the height over bore of the optic on this rifle:

Flattops didn't exist yet when that rifle was put together.
