i am building a mega lower and want to take in into the SPR area,  i would like around an 18" chrome lined barrel for longevity over a tiny bit of accuracy. what are my options?
so far im looking at Sabre Defense. i want a good accurate barrel, that will also last a very long time. 1/7 or 1/8 twist.

+1

However if you really insist on chrome-lined:
Sabre 18" CMV
Denny's Operator 16"
Get any quality 20" CL barrel cut down to 18" by ADCO.

If your not mil, and dont have a job that req shooting, you wont put 20k through a barrell, buy ss.

Have one on order from CMMG.  18", CL, M4, etc, decent price too.

Just buy something like a WOA SPR barrel. By the time you actually wear it out, the cost of a new barrel will be a drop in the bucket compared the the cost for all the ammo you run.

Get a Noveske SPR barrel you won't regret it. They are like a work of art and accurate as hell.

This is why stainless barrels are used on SPRs.

this, your not gonna be mag dumping match ammo, either you need the most accurate or most durable... theres plenty of very accurate, durable barrels, but the best wont be chrome lined and are SS.

Looks like ill be looking at an SS barrel, any preferences there? I have a close range weapon already I was looking for a decent mid-long range build.do you think a CTR stock is tolight to balance the rifle? How bout a good bolt.

I'm running a WOA SPR barrel on my competition rifle. It's used both for close range run-and-gun and for longer range events (last weekend I shot a team match with it out to 500 yards.) The barrel is very accurate and I couldn't be happier with it.
