Is there any way to positively ID a Bravo Company upper receiver ?

I know the upper receivers sold as a complete assembly with the barrel have the unmistakable white BCM on the side. But how about the receivers sold individually ?

The reason I ask is because if I want to buy an upper receiver from a private party, and if it's advertised as a BCM item, I would sure like to know if it is in fact, a genuine BCM part.

So I ask a favor of those with BCM uppers. Would you be so kind as to see if there is any kind of stamping on the upper besides the forge mark ? I know some companys may have a stamping on the back face of
the rear takedown lug.

Thanks for your time and any help would be much appreciated.

And yes, BCM koolaid tastes delicious.

The first runs of BCM uppers had no markings neither did their bolt carrier groups

You might want to email Paul and see what he says

Probably no way to tell if it's not one of the new complete uppers marked BCM.

BCM unbarreled uppers have no BCM markings. I got one and they are regular keyhole (Cerro forge) marked uppers. I wouldnt pay extra for it and if you want to make sure it is a BCM just buy directly from them...

I have a first run 16" upper assembly that was not marked. So they do exist.

Ask if he has a receipt. Or ask when it was bought.

And to all those that complain about the BCM logo on everything, here's another example of why it might be a good idea.
