I have shot a BCM AR once and was very impressed, as well as only heard good things about them on various websites.  I was curious, does anyone know if Bravo Co. Mfg. makes many/most of the parts that go into their guns themselves, or do they have them made by contract manufacturers to their spec?  By parts, I speaking of lowers, uppers, barrels, BCG's, etc.  Thanks!

I believe Bravo has contractors, they exercise rigid quality control over the products.

They will never disclose to you or me who makes their components.  Just accept the fact that their stuff is good shit and be happy.  BCM is very popular because they put out a very good product at a very reasonable price along with great customer service.  It really doesn't matter where the parts come from because of the quality control process they go through.

Thats it...................

Bingo

Quote from BCM:

Quoted:
BCM parts are contract machined to our specifications and POs.  We require certs on materials, process, and product.
Depending on the part - the final machining and all assembly would be done in house.

Things we will not be doing in house:  forging, gun drilling, casting, extruding, most plating, and MPI.
Things have done in house:  Finish machining, phosphate, HPT, assembly, test fire.

Thanks,

They have just about the best BCG on the market, better than Colt & FN

That is all I care about

edit: their barrels too

I would say they have the same quality bcg just at a much better price point and with better CS.

Paul's BCGs are made to Colt specs, just like FN. They are indeed the best, but to say one of the three is better is not true.

You can.

But the bolt and carrier separately, or just enjoy that nobody cares about BCM on your carrier.

Could something be considered "better" if its made to the same specs but is cheaper and more available than the alternatives?

I would say that is valid.

It's a better value. Not a better quality product.

I'm all about BCM BTW.

they offer their bcg with ion bond finish which is IMO a superior finish. Also iirc the have a better extractor spring but I'm not 100% on that.
