| The Bushmaster tech sheets for the 223 carbines ( same tech sheet for the 5.56 ) spec's the barrel steel for the heavy barrel as ChromeMoly Vanadium, however the tech sheet for the M4 carbine only notes the barrel and chamber are chrome lined, no mention of steel type. They may be the same but for some reason Bushmaster does not mention it. You would think they would if they were the same, since the ChromeMoly Vanadium is what you want. I have the HBAR and I would rather have the extra few ounces in trade for the additional heat handling ability. |
