What anti walk or anti rotation trigger pins are recommended? Probably not required for my application but gives me piece of mind.

Yep, saw those. I like the MOD2 version better. MOD2 PINS Just wanted some feedback from users. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: What anti walk or anti rotation trigger pins are recommended? Anti walk pins are not recommended. Why not? Completely 100% not needed. If your rifle needs them, then it's masking a more serious problem like an out of spec receiver. Piece of mind is great, but in this case you don't gain any advantage whatsoever. I have handled issued M-16's with God only knows how many rounds fired on burst and SA. No wear. I have personally fired plenty of FA with no wear as well. |

| I got 3 sets for the 3 rifles I am building before I knew too much about them. What I like for me is they act like a index for good trigger discipline - finger off the trigger until you intend to shoot - so they work for me. I like the little bit of "cool factor" as well. Before I get flamed for "cool factor comments" I would like to say I try and buy the best quality products for my rifles. I find out what works well and try to find better. Did I have to buy a BCM Full Auto BCG for the SBR I am building.... no I am sure the RRA one would have done fine but the better piece of mind from the BCM unit is just that ..a little higher grade. If you like the idea of them and realize you may not need the anti-walk pins... and are eductaed in what you are getting from them then pick up a set. Oh yes if you plan on buying aftermarket trigger (like Geissele) then dont buy them for the gun you want to put them in. Geiselle triggers have issues with the KNS pins |

Hell, the 1911 in my avatar has french borders....they serve no purpose but making my pistol look more awesome ![]() I find it slightly frustrating though when people try to justify it as if they "need" it. Maybe I should start claiming the french borders on my 1911 increase velocity. |

This is a good topic...I was inspecting my rifle the other day and noticed that my pins are loose(I can push them out with my fingers, and rotate them in any direction.) , should I put in the anti roll pins?
I have had my rifle for several years and had zero problems with it, RRA entry tactical. Fury. |

I had issued to me one total POS M16A2 for my last range evolution. Everything rattled, everything was loose, the take down pin holes were enlarged to a ridiculous degree, the crown looked like ass, and the finish was down to bare metal almost everywhere. I've yet to see another rifle in such a sad state. The hammer pin was so loose in the receiver that the entire pin and hammer would walk to the left to the point that it'd jam the trigger once every mag or two. I'd just pop it back in with the end of a mag and keep shooting.
So, yeah...it's not a common thing and that rifle had seen some major untold abuse...but it does happen and that rifle has given me a lifelong unreasonable fear of receiver trigger pin wear. I use KNS on my carbine and my fifty has JP pins. |
