I am new to the AR platform I have a RRA CAR rifle with the plastic handguards and I'm wanting to put the quadrails on it but have a few questions. First this rifle is a plinker so I am not looking to buy a 250.00 rail but I do want a decent sturdy rail that does not weigh a ton and I want to keep the A2 front site. One last thing do I need a free float handguard all your opinions and suggestions are welcome...Thanks Jason

I am going to need a new A2 front site where is the best place to buy them..

There are 2 piece free float rails offered by several companies. On some you don't have to take you rifle apart much but possibly might have to "cut" your delta ring off as the rails clamp onto the existing barrel nut. Here's two but there are others. Check the sponsor links and see what they all offer.

Some like the dd rail because it is slim and thats what i am saving for. For my other rifle i'm prob going to go cheap and pick up the troy 2 piece hand guard. I've read they lock nice and tight.

If you decide to go full free float you will need more tools to get the job done.

Knight's Armament RAS. Great rail systems, and they can be had cheaply these days
