I  was looking for advice on the proper way to break in a new chrome lined barrel. Guys at local shop told me to run a bore snake through it after every shot for 100rds, then run the snake for every 2 rds for 100rds, then once for every 5 rds? Is this excessive or the best way?

Throw it down the driveway. Walk down the driveway. Throw it back up the driveway. Broken in. Done.

Thats a helluva way to break in a bore snake All I did was just run my bore snake down it once before firing the first time to make sure that there was not excess oil in the bore.  I now have over 600 rnds downrange and it is driving tacks.

THANK YOU!! I have thought this for years and have been the target of many jokes by my friends for not subscribing. Although, I wish I had never given in to the ribbing and broke in my M1A NM...
