I have been wondering this or a while.
ARs are typically very close in price, often what separates a Colt 6920 from a Bushmaster is only a couple hundred dollars. LIkewise with other camparison to other guns...say BCM and Armalite, or Model 1 and Stag if you want something closer in term of price/performance. My firs AR, a Bushmaster 20"HBAR cost me $819. A BCM 20" would cost right around $930 or so, plus shipping and $10 transfer. The quality difference is apparent with the BCM and the Bushmaster. My question is this- If an AR buyer KNOWS that all the QC and good quality is there with a Colt/BCM/LMT etc etc, why would they pay to purchase something slightly cheaper? (And yes, I own a BCM Midlength AND A STAG Model2 that I built myself for the experience.) |

We learn of the QC after we make our purchases. I own a couple BM rifles, BCM rifles, DSA rifles, and a Colt. They all do the same things well, but for the money I'll mostly buy from the left side of the chart. I still love my other rifles also- after tweaking them. |

We do learn here as members and researchers of ARs...but a lot of folks see black rifles and assume they are all the same. |
