I'm trying to decide on a 16" lightweight style upper to rplace my 20" HBAR. Chrome-lined, carbine length.
Right now I'm looking at: Del-ton M&A M1Sales Bushmaster Anyone have their favorite or have bad experiences? Thanks |

A buddy of mine built a LW upper and said that there's noticeable muzzle flip. |

+1 on the Model 1. IT's not a pencil though as the GB is standard .750". In front of the handguard measures .550" and under measures .650". My Model 1 was $160 through Midway and I had it sent to ADCO for a cut down to 14.5" w/5C2 perm attached. Not much muzzle lift and if a tack driver.

I just gave my son a carbine with the Model 1 sales lt. wt. barrel. It has about 2k rounds thru it with no problems other than it doesnt have a F marked front sight.
I had to get a .40 sight pin. And it goes over the ears. Thats why he got it. I just couldnt take the front sight height . I know anal, but it drove me nuts. |

I went with the Del-Ton 16" LW with A2 upper. It's been good so far after a couple of cases of ammo.
If I had a do over, I'd get the flat top, chrome lining, and gas block with a decent rail. My son and I have both used Model 1 kits and have been satisfied with them, though neither of us have used one of their LW setups. |
