I saw a guy on Utube bend his hammer spring and improved his trigger pull.
Has anyone tried this?
Any thoughts on it?

It seemed a bit crazy but the results looked to be no play and crisp break.

Bending the hammer spring just changes the preload, not the total spring tension.  It does lighten the trigger pull somewhat.  The ill effect is usually light primer strikes.

i know on my geisselle it says to bend the feet of the hammer spring to adjust the weight of the 1st stage.

that being said i do not trust myself to do that...

+1

Lease factory stuff as it is.

If you want a lighter trigger, buy a quality trigger.

When i got a Trigger assy back from Bill Springfield my 4lb was not its was 7lb 6oz....he told me i could bend the hammer spring legs so they point down and it felt better but did not lighten the pull any.
Gun runs great with #41 primers....
