I am looking to get a stripped lower and have found a pretty good deal on a Noveske. It is $30 more than Mega and $15 more than CY6 which is what I was thinking of going with but I hear so much praise on Noveske. I have never messed with them so I wanted to ask those that have. The lower will have a Stag LPK installed and mounted to a 20" Sabre upper.
So how does it compare to Mega, CMMG, Stag, Spikes, CY6?? I have read on here that Stag actually makes the RRA lowers.

This is post 556 and I thought i would make it a good one.

Why don't you buy a Noveske upper and find out? They will give you a free lower.

A lower is a lower is a lower...unless one is billet.

Yep.

As long as it's in spec and the finish is good and you like the roll mark they are all the same.

I VERY much like the Mega and actually given a choice would take it over the Noveske for the same price.
The Noveske will always have more of an "Ohhh" type thing like a Colt lower does but they will all function the same.
The Noveske will have a quick and easy resale if it is ever needed.

Get whatever you can that is in stock.

My Noveske is very nice. Upper and lower fit with several uppers is very snug. Got a free one coming from the upper I bought.

If you are buying a Noveske lower, if you don't already know, he does give away as part of a package purchase, a cosmetic seconds lower. So it may not be the deal you think it is.

Mega can be had for 100 bucks, they are the standard for lowers in my humble opinion, i also would go with Mega.

There is not one thing special about the Noveske stripped lower.  Out of all the ones you mentioned I would probably get the Defensive Edge CY6 lower.  They have a thread posted that shows the steps they put into making them.  Broached magwells being one of note.

Remember, not all parts are created equal.

I have a Noveske lower with a Stag LPK, and BCM 20" upper. Had some problems with the BCM upper, so they sent a new one. The new one is pretty tight so it requires a punch on the front take down pin. But I think the problem is the upper since the first upper fit fine.

I agree with what most here are saying, a lower is a lower. Looking back, probably could had saved some money with a cheaper one. Oh well.

Amen, just pick the one that has a design you like!! Seriously not much of a difference as long as it's made to spec.

I was thinking the same thing if I ever got around to selling it but I am HOPING to keep this one for a while. I like that the CY6 has the tightening screw but truthfully it has never been an issue. Most of the rifles I have messed with have always had a good fit between upper and lower with the exception of Marine Corps issued. Those like to wobble depending on which one comes out the window.
So I guess the decision is coming down to CY6 or Mega.
Thanks for the input

Agreed.   The CY6 is the nicest non billet lower I've seen.
