I just got a 6940 and the kool-aid is mostly good except for the trigger.  It has to be the worst out of the box trigger of any of the ARs I own!  I am going to do the 15 minute trigger job on it to see if that helps.  What I need to know is the 6940 small pins or large? I would like to put in a non notched hammer too, if that is compatible or should I leave the notched one in?

Pics will follow when I get this one set up!

Here is the 6940.

New RockMaster/BushRiver 24' varminter.  Bushmaster lower with Geiselle match trigger, Magpul PRS stock with a Rock River upper.

Before you go nut, hit the trigger/hammer with a little grease, and run it for about 10-20 hand cycles.  My Colt triggers have been a bit rough out of the box, but smooth up pretty well will a little grease and hand cycling.  the stock AR trigger isn't exactly match quality, but you'll get a combat worthy trigger.  The alternative route is a Giselle SSA .

Small pin.

Personaly I would send the trigger to Bill Springfield.

I just put a Geiselle in the varmint build and it is very nice but for a plinker I will just work over the stock unit.

The trigger on my new 6940 seems a little heavy too, but I think I'll shoot it some before I just go dicking with it.  Hopefully it will smooth out with some wear.
