How well does the Switchblock (on the suppressed setting) + suppressor reduce gas in your face?

It works as advertised. It reduces the gas in your face by a large amount. It is the way to go if your suppressing a DI system.

THE SWITCHBLOCK ALSO KEEPS THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF GAS RUNNING THROUGH THE SYSTEM.

1. IF SHOOTING FULL AUTO SUPPRESSED, THE CYCLIC RATE REMAINS UNCHANGED WHEN COMPARED TO UNSUPPRESSED.

2. SUPPRESSED USE THEREFORE DOES NOT INCREASE THE STRESS ON THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS AS IT USUALLY DOES.

IT'S A GREAT SYSTEM.

GOOD SHOOTING,

WES

Any advantage to the block on a semi-auto DI system where gas in your face is not a problem?
Now I do use the PRI CH on all the suppressed uppers, and I am a left handed shooter.

Does the rail have a cutout that let's you access the switchblock or how is that working.

Wes,
I bought a 14.5" Middy aftermarket SB but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. All I've ever seen are the factory installed versions and was wondering if you use these on some of your builds?

I'VE ALWAYS USED THE FACTORY INSTALLED VARIETY WITH THE PIN AND SET SCREW SECURING IT, BUT THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH THE AFTERMARKET CLAMP-ON VARIETY.

PERSONALLY, I LIKE CLAMP-ON GAS BLOCKS.

That I can't answer correctly..I think they have a 16" Middy version though..I honestly wouldn't know what the difference is other than dwell time and maybe the ports are drilled different..what set up do you have now?
