| Looking at the Tango Down MK46 (not the QD), Troy Industries and the Daniel Defense VFG. Any opinions on these? Maybe from someone who has owned more than one listed. The Tango and Troy are pretty similar in price but the DD seems to be about $15/$20 cheaper. Thoughts?? |

I have a lot of the TangoDown VFGs (QD and non-QD). As long as your rail is mil-spec and proper picatinny proportions, it will lock up solid and is very comfortable.
If you are going to use a tape switch for a light, get the Tangodown as it has a removable slot in the side where you can put a tape switch and it holds it perfectly. If you are not going to use a tape switch, then either get this VFG or the Larue FUG. Both are really good. But the TangoDown is better for tape switches in my opion as the fug just has a flat spot where you have to doublesided tape the tape switch and use rubber pieces to hold it in place. I would use the QD version if I were you. They are close to the same price as the non-QD, and you can make the non-QD fit rails that are not in spec, or that have been worn. |
