Going to buy a forward grip, but so many to choose from, i got one from I think UTG and it feels not too good, it's on my smith and wesson ar15-22, I want something nice and feels good. Looking at Larue's, but what do you guy's like. Not looking for a grip pod.

thanks

Troy modular combat grip in "stubby" mode.  A bit heavier that the others listed.  It's made of aluminum and is not QD.

I recently bought the LaRue F.U.G and I love it. It's a bit pricey but in this case - you get what you pay for, with 3 different length settings you can easily change between. & I'm sure you all know how LaRue operates with the free gifts with each purchase!

I would go Tango Down with the QD mount

FYI...Larue tan does not match magpul FDE.  I do like my Larue though.  Had a buddy color match Magpul and it turned out pretty nice.  Good luck with your decision.

I like that TangoDown with QD because you can tighten the screw and it will be perfectly tight on any rail.

Get the Larue and thank me for it later. The only other I would suggest would be the Magpul AFG.

I like finding a VFG that I like, that is typical Magpul quality, and that runs under $25.....

Magpul MOE RVG (Railed Vertical Grip)

Owned a TangoDown, loved it. Hard as tits to get off the rails. Have a LaRue F.U.G. and wouldn't trade it for anything. Heard good things about the Magpul design.

I use tangodown, no problems thus far.

I like my Daniel Defense grip and the price is not too bad.  What I really like is the rough texture it has for a good grip.

Man Magpul makes one now.......

Since I can't justify spending 80$ on a Larue or Tango down I run this one....

Yes it is Tapco, but it is rock solid and only 18$, However, if that MOE is coming out soon and it isn't extremely long I would get that.

I'd try the Spikes tactical one.   It is priced great, and you can have it as a stubby or a full length.

If you got the QD stubby it wouldnt be a problem, the only thing the tango down lacks  is the 3 diffrent pieces on the bottom that I never use on my FUG, and I think tango down looks better too!

Buy what one you like best, for me I need to have a QD mount, I have friends who could care less and cant see spending $80-100 on "just a VFG. I like the FUG and Tango Down, they are on the same level and will be happy with any of the two.

Which one, Daniel Defense makes a VFG under contract for the military (Crane) as well as their standard one that comes on their weapons.

It will be interesting to see how the magpul one plays out. I'm sure it will be an instant success, Magpul can do no wrong right now. Anything they make is the bees knees these days.

That being said, if I ever put rails on either of my AR's I will probably get them. I will go out on a limb and say you will be very surprised at the ruggedness the Tapco stubby offers. It will stay on my 15-22 and 74 for sure.

Magpul also has a new VFG that locks into the MOE handguards.
